Promo Short Film to Drive Membership

We launched a movement in 2024 called “Beautiful Humans.” We produce a short film each month highlighting the lived experiences and lessons of someone while also wrestling with the question, “What makes someone beautiful?”

Given the robust nature of such a project and the costs, we decided to pursue funding by offering memberships that can be written off by businesses that also get various perks to be part of the movement.

The objective of this film was to help people understand the heart behind the movement and then invite them to financially support it.

We have signed up a number of members who have watched this film and told us that we are thought-provoking, much-needed, and exceptional storytellers.

In addition to the memberships gained, we’ve also had people share how this film, in itself, helped individuals reflect on how they show up in the world and view others. And that is the heart of the movement. Thus, this short film produced both the tangible outcomes of people becoming members and financially supporting the movement as well as people engaging with the heart of the movement, which is considering how we may all have beauty inherently within us.

Getting to be the subject and editors was easier in ways as we could control the content. We engaged in a completely different post-production process for identifying the story. This helps highlight our flexibility. While we have robust technical processes for identifying the story that needs to be told from interviews, we also flex our skills to meet the needs of each individual project.
