Our First Film with Each Visual Fully Calculated

The Beautiful Humans film aim to draw out a lesson from someone and then explore the question of what makes someone beautiful. Each time, we are pushing ourselves to improve and explore more.

In this film, everything was highly calculated. Most of our film locations have been picked by our guests or we selected the location due to various factors. However, here we selected a film location specific to our guest. We wanted a darker scene, something we haven’t done yet. We also wanted to explore our sound design.

At the time of publication, this was by far our best piece of art yet. We poured ourselves into every aspect of this. The sound work in the opening is a great example of us doing something new with quality. 

The initial reception of this film was very moving. People felt seen in their humanity in richly meaningful ways.

Everything about this film showcases our continued growth. The visuals here are powerful. Our sound design skills are growing. And our storytelling is spot on. We loved working in a darker environment and how that opened us up to new ways of visual storytelling.

We also ended up with a lot of pixel issues which required hours of work to clean up. It was all worth it, because the final product is beautiful. We are always pushing ourselves to produce high-quality work, even if we’re not getting paid by a client to do so.
